About Us
We are the Dounet people of Mamou, Guinea, living together as one family in the United States.
Who We Are
Our community comes from Dounet, in the Mamou region of Guinea. When our families moved to America, we wanted to stay close to each other and to our roots.
That is why we started this association — so that our children know where they come from, our elders are cared for, and our families always have a home away from home.
Today, more than 3,200 Dounet families across 28 states are part of our community.
